Arriva Trains Northern and Hull Trains have joined forces to provide a great deal which is just the ticket for people travelling from local stations to London.

The deal, sees the two operators working together to provide a through ticket - with no requirement to book in advance - with special fares making it easier to experience the sights, sounds, buzz and excitement that London has to offer by train.

The new 'walk up and go' return fares have been introduced to enable customers to buy one ticket from their local station to London with super savings and half fares for children. Return fares range from £43 from Mexborough to London to £59 from Bridlington to London. Tickets are only valid on Hull Trains and Arriva Trains Northern services.

Stations which are featured in the promotion include: Driffield, Beverley, Cottingham, Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Habrough, Barnetby, Scunthorpe, Goole, Thorne and Mexborough.

Jim Morgan, managing director of Hull Trains, said: "This flexible approach to ticketing agreed by our two companies provides a seamless service for customers who want to get to and from London from the outlying areas of the region. Attractive discounts on fares are on offer and we are confident that this partnership with Arriva Trains Northern will benefit customers and increase the numbers of passengers travelling to and from London by train."

Arriva Trains Northern regional director David Judson said: "This is the type of initiative which can really make a difference - we have an excellent track record of working in partnership with other operators to deliver benefits to customers.

"We are delighted to be working together with Hull Trains to make travelling to London easier and more cost effective."

Customers can buy tickets from any Arriva Trains Northern staffed station, on the train from the conductor, from Arriva customer services on 0870 602 3322, from National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950 or by calling Hull Trains telesales on 01482 60 63 88.
